Perfect for weddings, large or smaller events, conferences, feast days, awards nights – you name it, we can host it! Surrounded by picturesque green fields and grazing cattle, lush lawns edged with beautiful flower beds, a courtyard with tables and umbrellas, and with luxury onsite accommodation for up to 22 people, we have everything you need for a unique all-in-one event or celebration.
We have the potential and room for any type of chosen decor, and our large, light-filled events barn is spacious enough for up to 150 people seated or 300 for the evening reception. Decide where to say ‘I do’ from a choice of ceremony spaces and take advantage of our staffed and stocked bar and a dedicated coordinator for weddings. You won’t need to look any further for your ideal celebration in the Cornish countryside.

The owners of Chycara have worked for decades to create a hidden gem in th Bissoe Valley, near Truro. The site features 16 acres of trees, ponds, flowers, wildlife and beautiful views. Guests are encouraged to relax into the informal feel of the whole space, and simply enjoy time with friends and family.
In between the wedding hours, guests can spend time in their private and spacious lodges. With space on site for up to 27 guests to stay.
The modern reception barn has space for up to 80 day guests and 130 evening guests, and comes complete with chairs, tables and decorative lighting. Air conditioning is in place for those warmer months too!
The wedding package also come with on the day co-ordination from the fantastic ‘The Wedding Day Co-Ordinator’, to ensure everything runs smoothly, and to allow you to focus on just enjoying your wedding day.

The team that catered for the wedding day were brilliant, polite and really on it, I could see them checking on people and the food. Oh man the food. We adored it!!
