WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

I grew up in Perth, Australia, surrounded by family, food, and plenty of good times. For us, no celebration was complete without some kind of BBQ on the table. Even our council tax went toward free BBQs at public parks and beaches, so it was part of everyday life. Some of my best childhood memories are of finishing homework, catching a quick surf, and then firing up a BBQ with family and friends by the water.

In my younger years, I lived a pretty fun lifestyle, I worked as a gym instructor, a lifeguard, and eventually completed my Bachelor of Science. Life in Australia was rippa, and I soaked up the laid-back vibes it had to offer. Later, when I stepped into the “real world,” I worked in mining and property, but BBQ was always at the heart of things. I kept honing my skills, cooking for anyone and everyone around me.

Now, I’ve had the privilege of feeding thousands of people all over the world, from weddings and 90th birthday parties to massive gatherings on naval bases. And honestly, I still love it just as much as I did when I was that kid cooking at the beach. For me, nothing beats making people smile through food every single day.
